The Council determined that the most appropriate course of action was for the Council to appoint a professional services consultant to assist in the development of a design solution that considered all of the issues, AECOM were appointed in October 2020. The highways team is working closely with AECOM to develop a design solution for Tadcaster Road and then tender the works to a civil engineering contractor via one of the Councils Framework Agreements. The works is currently programmed for commencement in August 2021. Performance against Programme The professional services contract for Tadcaster Road awarded to AECOM started late October 2020 – as part of Workstage 0 (Delivery) AECOM developed a programme of works for delivery of the project through to a contract award and commencement of the construction period. The consultant’s progress continues to be, monitored against the programme submitted in November. The table below provides an assessment of the projects current status.
